544247 2007-04-25 08:52:00 Is there any capturing program that will automatically save the screen shot to a file everytime you press a certain key?

With PrtScr I have to paste into a something like paint and then save.

Thanks

544250 2007-04-26 03:49:00 There's another quite useful on which I use called MWSnap which you can download from Snapfiles. Captures entire screen or any part you define. I found this one to be one of the simplest to use. Don't know how it compares to the one In Snoopy's link though.

Yup-MWSnap, just tried it and you can place the cursor over any icon, folder etc. and when you save it to wherever you want the cursor is shown. I find this little programme very useful and you can send it on via email if you are trying to show someone exactly how your dektop (or whatever) looks like. I have tried a good number of screen capture programmes but for my money this is the simplest to follow. If you are using it in an open web page, open it, minimise it to the tray then simply capture any area or the whole screen. Its useful if you only want to capture a small defined area to save and send on via email or whatever. There a number of formats that you can save including jpeg, bitmaps,GIF,PNG & TIFF.
