2007-04-25 06:30:00 | Hey guys as title states above, I can't install my downloaded version of Nero Premium (I'm busy downloading the latest update for my XP machine) Problem is I can't install it with Windows Vista Ultimate. I don't wanna have to buy another copy of Nero. just so that it would run on Vista. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do? Cheers

2007-04-25 06:35:00 | According to the Release notes (www.nero.com) It wasnt Vista ready until 7.5.7.0 came out. Or certified for Vista till 7.7.5.1 Could be one reason?

2007-04-25 06:49:00 | If you brought it and have a serial for 7.2, it'll most probably work with 7.8.5.0 anyway. And there's not much diff between the Premium and Ultra version anyway.

So can I download the 7.8.5.0 trial version and install it using my 7.2 license. The error message I get is that the version of Nero isn't compatible with Windows Vista. cheers |

2007-04-25 08:33:00 | Now, how did I know the previous post would disappear! So can I download the 7 . 8 . 5 . 0 trial version and install it using my 7 . 2 license . The error message I get is that the version of Nero isn't compatible with Windows Vista . cheers I cant see why not, until it gets to v8 of Nero . Then it may require another serial . (like it did when v7 came on the scene) . Yup, I would say thats the prob with 7 . 2 then, as in my previous post . You need 7 . 5 . 7 . 0 or 7 . 7 . 51 +, to install it on Vista . Not 7 . 2 . Nero, I think doesnt rely on activation like XP . So, it wouldnt know whether a serial is in use (if u use the same serial in XP) or not . And as long as its a valid serial (ie: for Any version of V7 of Nero, (but before V8 comes out), it should work . And depending on what serial you type in Nero , it'll either register Nero as Premium or Ultra .
