| 544531 | 2007-04-26 21:04:00 | Hey guys, Just wondering what t his I386 folder is in C: Drive? It's been there for a while, and I have no idea what it is/does. It's close to 1gb. It has 7,620 files in it. And almost all of them are different. The file names are mostly combinations of numbers/letters. there's some images, videos, cursors, exes, wavs and a bunch of other...files (.dll, .sys and a tonn more.) I was wondering, what's this folder do..and can I delete it? It takes up a whole gig that I could be using else where, and I haven't seen it on any other computers before. Thanks. |

Without it, you will constantly be asked for your Windows CDROM to get these files. Best to leave it alone. You probably haven't seen it on other computers mainly because they would normally have been a hidden folder. You obviously have the "show system folders and files" option ticked. Maybe if your desperate for space, add another hard drive? Or a cleanout using a safe program like Ccleaner. |
