| 544265 | 2007-04-25 09:45:00 | Is there a way to access & edit the hidden Recovery Partition created by some laptop /desktop manufacturers so that we can add more information (installed programs) to it? Or, how to create our own recovery partition? Is it going to be very difficult? |

Cant u back whatever to cd or dvd?? Altho, even if u could, I dont think it'll be that easy to add programs to it, Wouldn't it be some kind of image? And I doubt you could add programs that were already installed to it, the program would have to be in its original format (the setup/install file). |

Altho, I've never had a system with a hidden partition on it. And good luck trying to get into it normally! I dont think its that easy. |

The recovery process will start an installation programme, which would normally access a data file which will tell it what to load, and where . That might be a text file . It might not be in a compressed "cabinet" style file . . . . :D You will have to have a good look at all the files and their contents . It is likely to be easier to use one of the "ghost" style imaging utilities . |
