| 545172 | 2007-04-29 06:16:00 | I have a interesting problem. Several times, when trying to install some drivers (Canon printer, Agfa scanwise...) or programs (ABBYY OCR, etc.), the setup.exe starts, the hourglass tumbles several times, then nothing! When Ctrl-Alt-Del I find the setup.exe listed among the programs running but with no memory allocated. If I start it again, I get two setup.exe one next to the other, both doing nothing. Th problem seem to have appeared after installing AutoCAD 2007. I upgraded the OS from Win2K to XP SP1, but the problem didn't go away. I don't intend to reformat and re-install everything from scratch, I'd have too many programs and the situation may repeat itself again. Anyone with a sensible solution? Thanks. |
