545152 2007-04-29 04:06:00 I want a piece of software that will delete all browsing history automatically at shutdown and/or reboot.
I read about it in the last 3 years or so
I am pretty sure it was in PC World but a hunt through old PC World magazines, CDs, and the PC World site found nothing.
From memory the software was sort of hidden when installed and not obvious to snoopers using the computer

Thanks
John

545153 2007-04-29 04:12:00 why not just set your history = 0 days in IE that is. zcc (50)
545154 2007-04-29 04:33:00 Or use ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com)

It will do the same thing.

545155 2007-04-29 11:09:00 firefox has a function that allows you to delete all history etc on close drcspy (146)
545156 2007-04-29 11:42:00 FF will do it for you with the in built tool, atleast for the newer versions of it. Tools -> Clear Private Data or you can go to Options and tell it to wipe everything everytime you simply close FF. beeswax34 (63)

545158 2007-04-30 04:39:00 As Speedy says - use CrapCleaner - gets rid of everything you want it to in one go  bevy121 (117)
545159 2007-04-30 05:27:00 I use ccleaner every time I close down my computer and MruBlaster always removes about 30 more entries after ccleaner scan. zqwerty (97)

545161 2007-05-05 08:23:00 Wait a minute!

Do you want to just keep things tidy and clean? or keep certain content off your machine? I don't think crapcleaner gives a secure erase?

If you want safer surfing etc Torpark would be a better option.
