| 545004 | 2007-04-28 11:09:00 | What are Vista users, here, doing for CD/DVD burning? My Nero6, of course, is a castoff and Nero7 will cost $US50 as an upgrade . Nero is such a huge bit of bloatware and I really only want about a quarter of it but may be I have to bite the bullet . I have tried several burner freebies but don't like any of them (wondered why my dual CPU system was bogging down and found a couple of burner processes hogging 100% of one of the CPUs!) . But one of the features of Nero Express was its ability to automatically update a regular burn with changed files as soon as you inserted the previously burnt CD . I need this feature but it is hard to find . TIA for any advice (including the advice not to be such a tightwad and just upgrade Nero!!) . |

(not being cheeky but you really answered your own question with that statement) I use Nero 7 on both my XP and Vista installs, I bought Nero 7 and haven't looked back since. Nero is pretty damn good any way you look at it. In my mind if a program has a feature you know you want, need and will use often you're better off just forking out for it and have peace of mind rather than spending endless hours trying to find something else compatible not to mention the throng of COASTERS you will most likely end up with whilst trying different software packages. | 545006 | 2007-04-28 11:30:00 | Thats true, I use V7 too. Altho I've only installed Nero/Nerovision/Startsmart/Infotool and Burnrights. And downloaded the help files, and templates separately. And didnt bother installing the rest of it, as I dont need them. BUT, its a good program, and does what it says. So, I take it that serial was fine with XP and Vista Chief? |
