546158 2007-05-04 08:56:00 Yesterday I had a day of window shopping for a new pc, not much choice in hamilton really.

Also are the entertainment centres worth their price tags?

546159 2007-05-04 11:52:00 I run Vista Ultimate on the machine as depicted in my signature.

I personally think Vista is great - I actually have far less freezes, crashes and BSoD with Vista than with XP. The eye-candies are nice, too.

I don't game too much - but I do play a reasonably demanding game - Black and White 2 and its expansion. It actually plays slightly better on Vista than on XP.

At the end of the day, it's your choice - many people are waiting for SP1 or SP2 until they upgrade to Vista, while I'm liking Vista even before SP1.

I've been using XP for quite a while now, and pretty extensively too. I can't say I've ever had a BSoD on there, nor very many Freezes/Crashes if any at all. Vista is OK, but the eye candies aren't something that cannot be obtained on XP. For now I'm waiting for Sp2 till I make the move and I must say that my only reasoning behind this is DX10, it looks spectacular. (www.winmatrix.com)
