2007-05-01 21:07:00 | Hi, A few weeks ago somebody, in stating a change of daylight start / finish times would have a patch available,if it happened, to offset the built in settings---either now or would be soon, then interest dropped away. Is there a patch available now ? effie c

2007-05-01 21:24:00 | it is not few weeks ago, it was announced officially on Monday this week.... the patch is not ready yet. the government is working on with the computer industry to see how the changes need to be done so it won't be here so soon yet!!! jacky

2007-05-01 22:13:00 | Hang on Effie - you dont need to worry for another few months yet. Our beloved leaders must get the anti smacking bill finalised before they can focus on more important issues of the day. | smithie 38 (6684) | |
2007-05-01 23:02:00 | Changeing the daylight saving time doesn't require any law change like the smacking bill, it just requires an amendment by the minister in charge of that department. Trevor :)

2007-05-02 00:10:00 | Hi Trev. Yea I realise that and the amendment has most probably been signed off by the appropriate minister by now. It was just that Jackie said "the government is working on with the computer industry to see how the changes need to be done" I was just being a little facetious with my comment about the government. I would have thought that now the new dates for daylight savings have been approved it will be up to the computer industry to implement the changes ie issue patches or whatever is necessary prior to September.

2007-05-02 06:38:00 | Why not go buy a Mac or change to Linux? This way patches do not need to be installed. All self modified I would think. Think Tui advert :D Seriously you will get an update when Microsoft uploads a patch to your computer. Do not forget to get the patch for the patch.
