2007-05-04 14:54:00 | As long as the ram is say like this, 2 x 512mb ddr 400. 1.You only have 2 sticks of ram.=2 x 2.The amount of ram is the same on both sticks of ram.=512mb 3.The speed of ram is the same.=ddr 400. And of course you put it in the dual channel memory slots on the mobo. to get it to work.-have a look at the mobo. manual for the right slots. I have used ordinary sticks of Legend,Kingston,Adata and they have all worked.-(ordinary meaning they were not the pricey Dual Channel Matching pair of sticks of ram for $$$)

2007-05-04 20:21:00 | As Memphis said, aslong as the RAM is the same spped, timings and capactity there should be no issues with different brands... HOWEVER I have seen issues cause by different sticks of RAM, so if possible get the exact same brand/model of the current sticks and then you KNOW it will work | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | |
2007-05-04 20:29:00 | so if i put 2 X DDR2 512MB PC2-4300 L-DATA [512MB, DDR2 533MHZ, CL4, DIMM 240-pin] it would work?. Would it do dual channel? | gum digger (6100) | |
2007-05-04 21:16:00 | Yes, it would work (it is rare that there are RAM incompatibilities) Yes it would run in dual channel, as long as they are the same as the other existing pair then yes BTW your link doesn't work

2007-05-05 10:37:00 | I have got 2x 1GB sticks and they are good, not bad for OCing, I can get DDR 500 at 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.7V so not bad there, I havn't had any issues with mine | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | |
2007-05-05 19:54:00 | Would it do dual channel? You know its the motherboard that determines whether or not you have dual channel. Not what ram you get. Best to have the same ram as has been mentioned already but as for "Dual channel RAM", its all marketing hype.
