| 546683 | 2007-05-03 10:43:00 | Just bought a laptop this week and loaded XP Pro. Many years since I had to tweak it and find that after going back to the classic view (my preference for an old f-rt), the system kicks itself back after a while to the XP start button and turns the sounds back on. Can anyone remind me how to make the OS accept and retain any of the layout changes? Many thanks, Ken |

| 546685 | 2007-05-03 10:52:00 | Speedy, The OS is not retaining my setup and reverting back to its defaults. As I said above, I have gone the Classic view and turned the sounds off, but after a while the system reverts back to sounds on and the Windows XP layout. |
