547363 2007-05-05 07:10:00 So being that some versions of windows are end of life, MS probably wont be providing a patch for the change to NZ's daylight saving times.

so.......

I have knocked up a patch for most versions of windows.

win9x version and a win2k version.

feel free to pass re-distribute as you see fit but do so at NO COST.

keep in mind that this is free and I take no responsibility if it stuffs up your system.

547365 2007-05-06 07:46:00 any feedback yet?? robsonde (120)
547366 2007-05-06 08:10:00 The download speed on that was insanely slow, and the reverse lookup makes it seem suspiciously like a 128k ADSL upload - is it? Latency was also around 1000ms, as compared to 25ms for most other NZ-based sites.

Do you want me to mirror that file for you? Serving that via ADSL can't be much fun...

[edit: Latency dropped to around 100ms when I tested it while not simultaneously downloading your file.]

You say for most versions but then "win9x and win2k".

Not for winXP ?

547371 2007-05-06 09:46:00 And why not just time sync in Win with an internet server? Oh wait. Do not sync with PressF1 servers. Sweep (90)
547372 2007-05-06 10:15:00 Time synching uses UTC/GMT, your computer still has to know what time zone and DST rules you're working under. PaulD (232)
