After a recent install of Vista are geting a prompt suggesting a sound prob with AC97 audio, although sound appears to be fine. Had allowed vista to install drvs from motherboard cd. Followed up on the recomended remedy & it led to the realtek site where there was indeed an AC97 Vista driver dowload. Downloaded that but Vista didn't want it, said it was for different device.
Any ideas. |

So is there an actual problem with the sound or is it just Vista imaging one? |

There is no noticable prob & no flag on device manager, just the occational prompt from Vista. |

You may need to remove Vista's original choice of sound driver first, and then install the Realtek one, (which should work, seems to cover all Realtec AC97 devices/types). |
