| 547061 | 2007-05-04 15:23:00 | Hey guys So, Ive got the top part that I want, fading in from white up top to blue down bottom using this pic and tiling it horizontally: <style type="text/css"> <!-- BODY { background-image: URL(images/bgtile.png); background-repeat: repeat-x} --> </style> Attached file: bgtile.png (www.imagef1.net.nz) (1 KB) BTW - Its only 1px wide, just in case you missed it ;) Heres the RGB / HSL values of the very bottom blue: Attached file: rgbhsl.png (www.imagef1.net.nz) (43 KB) Question is, how do I get the hex value right so that the background color is going to match the very bottom color of my bgtile.png? Ive tried saving it in Word / Frontpage and its never right, Ive tried online converters, still not right.. Open to suggestions / comments Cheers Chill. |

Your first mistake is trying to use Word/Frontpage for doing that. There is a program I think called "Colour Picker" which is very usefull for getting RGB values By the way Chill have you had a gander at the l latest t PCLinuxOS |

I got the same result as Jen, which was disappointing coz it was off a bit :( Thanks heaps! :D Mike: Nah man, been too busy with other stuff lately, but gave Ubuntu 7.04 a whirl and its pretty choice eh :) REALLY simple stuff, like automating nVidia driver installs, video codecs, installation of Samba when I go to turn on the service... good stuff :) Might do it soon thou |

| 547070 | 2007-05-05 03:33:00 | And of course, you could have looked at the values you had: Red = 12 (0x0c), Green = 46 (0x2e), Blue = 130 (0x82). So it's "0c2e82". |
