| 546593 | 2007-05-03 05:31:00 | Hi JSR, to get the music files off your CD since they don't actually reside in your physical CD/DVD drive itself, you need something like Winamp or other media playing software that allows you to rip the music tracks from the CD and store them in a file on your hard drive like "my music" or what ever you prefer to call the file. You can use Windows Media Player if you want or something better like Winamp or possibly Nerovision. Winamp is free. When ripping the CD select a bit rate of at least 192kbps for bettewr quality of music. You can use the MP3 codec if you want since although not the best quality codec, it is the most generic (useable). There are other higher quality codecs that are suitable. To get them onto your Gigabeat you need to check for something like "transfer files to" or import files or drag and drop. I personally use iTunes and an iPod which has a very simple process. |
