| 546508 | 2007-05-03 02:13:00 | Hi there well im in the process of buying a XFX 8800GTS, and i need a new psu as my 430Watt Thermaltake PSU most likely can support this card. So im just wanting to know what sort of PSU do i need?I need it to be under $150 My rig has a 160GB HDD and 2 DVD burners. |

Have a read of this (forums.overclockers.co.nz) and make an informed decision for yourself. Personally with a video card like that I wouldn't settle for anything less than a 500w Enermex or Silverstone. |

Depending on the rest of your system, I would get atleast a 500-550W + PSU from Enermax or Silverstone as Pete said. This (ascent.co.nz) is the PSU I have (Enermax Whisper II 535W) never had a problem with it :thumbs:I know it is a little out of your price rangem, but it should be cheaper at other places, but as far as I am concerned Ascent is the best :D |
