| 547701 | 2007-05-06 10:12:00 | Is it just me? My Vista system used to reliably do 2.6 Mbps on my 2 Mbps account but now it is at 800-900 Kbps. (Yes, have rebooted and re-powered the modem and even did a system restore from a few days ago). I rang Help but the voice said unfortunately we are receiving large numbers of calls etc so I hung up. |

Couldn't get http, or ftp. Experienced high-ish pings to NZ servers which are typically fast (250-300ms) and a speed drop from 4.5mbps from Orcon's freehost server, to about 800kbps. | jermsie (6820) | ||

I think they (or Telecom??) must have been having network problems. I note that you can't get usage data. "We're making some network upgrades over the next week which means that the online data checker will be unavailable during this time. Unfortunately our contact centre won't be able to give you an update on your data usage either". |

| 547708 | 2007-05-07 10:45:00 | Spoke too soon. Speed now down to 6-700Kbps. This is ridiculous. It's beginning to look like circuit overload at nights. Probably why the speed is erratic as well. The only network status report is from the 5th - wonder why they leave irrelevant reports posted? I've emailed for an explanation so will see what they say. | linw (53) | ||
