| 547633 | 2007-05-06 04:15:00 | Computer dial up and fax machine are on same phone line in with separate cables.When phone rings the computer will start automatically.The internal modem is just a standard one with no fax capability. Is there a setting that needs a tweek to stop this happening. Cheers Chris:) |

| 547634 | 2007-05-06 04:25:00 | Welcome to PressF1 coastland. In your dial-up-modem settings there'll be something called "Wake on Ring". That has probably been ticked, and that's what's causing your computer to boot up. |

| 547635 | 2007-05-06 04:27:00 | You will need to look in the BIOS for the setting to disable Wake-On-Ring or similar. Most likely will be under Power Settings. |
