| 547347 | 2007-05-05 08:55:00 | Hi, My sons computer has happily been running vista for about 6 weeks. Yesterday he plugged the Xbox 360 into his monitor for Hi Res graphics. (that may or may not be relevant!) Later when he re attached his computer to the monitor, we can see the bios screen and the windows loading progress bar, but when the progress bar finishes and just as the first Vista opening screen should appear the monitor hibernates. and cannot be woken. Vista is loaded properly as I can see the computer on the network, and hear sound in response to keyboard actions. Safe mode reboots the computer about the same place. Trying other monitors doesn help. MS want $75 to begin to talk about it :yuck: I would apprecaite suggestions or advice. Thanks Dave. |
