| 547811 | 2007-05-08 08:09:00 | higher resolutions are only really necessary with larger monitors, i tend to use 1024x768 on my 17" and 1280x1024 on my 19" and those framerates are normal, if you want improvement get a 8800gtx rather than the 8800gts. oh, i'm assuming that A: you overclocked properly and your ram etc is all configured at stable speeds, and B: your compuer has adequate cooling. by my sources for every 10 degrees you'll see a 5-10% performance difference (CPU, dunno bout ram/gpu) |
