547797 2007-05-07 10:53:00 That was also my line of thinking considering that the bulk of the design apps being used are Windows only, which would mean that Windows would be being used 90% or more of the time. winmacguy (3367)

Hi metla
You are right.
It just happen to be that I have a neighbour on macs, a macbook and a tower and the machines are very impressive and convincing. Though, it does not mean those are without problems as I have seen over the last few years. One reason would also be that a friend from the states would buy and take it over for me(which would make it a bit more affordable).
I have been working on windows platforms all the time and hardly ever had a problem neither system based nor viruses and such alike. I have been able to ad this and that to the machine without problems and also reasonably priced. Also MS based laptop would be more compatible to the others after a(potential) merger.
So, that leaves not much for mac, does it??
I have also started another thread asking about quality windows based laptops, so let's see.

If your using Vector Works or ArchiCAD which are both suited to OS X, getting a Mac would be a good choice, otherwise if your using PC only design tools then get a PC.
