| 547631 | 2007-05-06 04:30:00 | Have a friend who has been using Outlook 2000 on a fairly modern PC running Win XP as their email software and recently when they try to attach something it always is embedded in the message area. There used to be a separate line drop down similar to Outlook Express where the attachment could be opened from. All attachments embedded in the messages are unable to be opened after sending. Is Outlook corrupted and should I backup info and transfer to Outlook Express or Thunderbird. Cheers Chris |

Not sure exactly where it is in Outlook2000 but there will be a security setting with a tickbox that says "protect me from attachments that may be harmfull" or some such bs. Untick that box and you will be able to save attachments sent to you. |
