I've done it before (with both Xtra and Orcon) In my case I was charged the basic pro-rata hourly rate while using the dialup... no big deal if it's just an hour or so per day. | Greg (193) | ||
| 548123 | 2007-05-08 02:35:00 | Yes. You may buy a dial-up Internet access card from Worldnet. It's something like $10 or $20 for cetain number of hours or a month ... not too sure. Give Worldnet a ring and they should be able to give you the information. Someone told me that the card is also available from those Korean grocery shops. | bk T (215) | ||

| 548125 | 2007-05-08 02:55:00 | just rang Xnet really a great Company cause they have a LIVE HUMAN BEING answering the phones whenever i call no "press 1 if blah blah blah press 2 if blah blah blah" try calling TELECOM and u have a million buttons to punch before u get to someone if lucky but forgive me I'm digressing ANYWAY they said as long as it's minimal usage they r ok as long as it's not dialed in 24/7 but there might be charges good to know but will have a look at the Worldnet thing as well :D THKS ALL |

| 548126 | 2007-05-08 03:01:00 | you could get a freenet acc and only pay 9-95 for one month and then just cancel or leave the account as it is... there is no contract or monthly charge unless you want to use the connection again some other month - then you just pay another 9-95 for the month you want to use it. not the best of connections tho..... 'just a tad slow' :waughh: |
