| 548650 | 2007-05-09 13:06:00 | Ok, I started in safe mode and did a defrag, in the same way I normally would. Since my last defrag I've installed Oblivion. At the end of the defrag it showed 2 files both belonging to oblivion that it couldn't defrag, both were scattered into around 1200 segments. So I booted into normal mode and defragged again, the smaller file (around 600mb) was defraged in normal mode, however I'm still left with the larger 1.13gb file which wont defrag. Oblivion>Data>Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa 1.13gb That's the file. Any idea on how to defrag it? |

| 548652 | 2007-05-09 13:57:00 | could possibly indicate that you have a lack of space on the hdd for the system to use to re-arrange the fragments ? | drcspy (146) | ||
| 548653 | 2007-05-09 14:01:00 | It's an 80gb HDD with 21.7gb free. Is this enough? | Faded_Mantis (79) | ||
| 548654 | 2007-05-09 14:19:00 | plenty of space..........the other thing to do is to slave the drive and defrag it while it's a slave in another puter that way there'll be no 'open' or 'inuse' files .... | drcspy (146) | ||
