548661 2007-05-09 12:53:00 I thought I'd play around with movie maker and try and edit some old clips. Its OK when its processing the file and splitting it into little bits but as soon as I start to place things on the clipboard or even undo a change, it freezes up and I have to shut it through Task Manager.

Anyone know why this is happening or know of a cheap editing tool? all I want to do is take ad's out of tv show clips. Thanks:D

548662 2007-05-09 13:53:00 Try VirtualDub then, should do just the trick :)

Remember to tell it that you want Direct Stream Copy for the output Audio / Video codec and you'll be right as rain! :D

548663 2007-05-09 14:14:00 Thanks for that. Virtual Dub wont let me edit MPEG-2 files however and from now in my TV tuner will use MPEG1, I still have MPEG2 files to edit. Know a good converter???:D beeswax34 (63)
