549872 2007-05-15 00:21:00 What version of nero? Rob99 (151)
549873 2007-05-15 00:24:00 So the DVD doesnt get recognised in Vista?

Or doesnt the burner get recognised in Nero?

If it doesnt get recognised in Nero, did the burner come with the version of Nero, thats installed??

Or if Nero isnt working at all in Vista, you'll have to download one of the later versions of Nero, so its compatible with Vista.

549875 2007-05-15 00:31:00 Nero V6.3.18F Chasa (12267)
549876 2007-05-15 00:33:00 You may need to update to version 7 for Vista Rob99 (151)
549877 2007-05-15 00:37:00 You'll need the latest version (www.nero.com)

Or version 7.7.5.1 + for it to be compatible with Vista.

However, if u have a version 6 serial, I dont think it'll work with version 7.

549878 2007-05-15 00:37:00 Not recognised, not showing in list of drives as being present in my computor.
It did allow me to reinstall office after clean start. After that when I load it shows the green light, and spins but no activity on the desk top.
Will try downloading Nero 7.
Thanks

549879 2007-05-15 04:29:00 Yes you need nero 7 to work with vista.

Have had lots of experience with it, its a bit of a pig.

Nero 7 lite is ideal, not sure where you can buy it (not OEM) though - easiest option might end up being buying a new drive with nero 7 bundled.

Good Luck -
