549806 2007-05-15 08:23:00 Well, thats constructive....did you say the same when XP came out?:(

Nope as WinXP was Win2K with eye candy. Apart from the unusual network setup most things I tried it on went much the same as on Win2K. However ever Vi$ta is a different story. Nothing at work went on the laptop I tested last week. We had to pay another lot of Micro$oft tax and take it back to winXP then avery thing worked..

There's no way I will go to Vista when Win XP expires. It will be Linux or Mac..

549807 2007-05-15 08:34:00 I was looking at getting one as I am with Vodafone, they sound very good although I would have been using it with XP Pro. I ended up getting an Apple Airport (PC & Mac) which works fine although it is not portable like the Vodem.

On a side note...

Facing the full horror of Windows Vista
So far, Transit has been using Vista Business full-time for a fortnight. And so far, we've found nothing that works better than in Windows XP, dozens of things that are annoyingly different without being a functional improvement, and several things that work at best intermittently and at worst not at all. On the whole, we wish we'd never moved.

549808 2007-05-15 11:34:00 OK so I receive a reply from Vodafone which includes the following statement

"Please note any Microsoft updates would have been out of our control but the necessay steps have been taken to rectify the issue."

How's that for an answer?

I agree that it's not about Vista but about Vodafone putting a product on the market without a warning that it's NOT compatible with Vista.
After calling on several Vodafone outlets here in the UK I can see this is a public relations disaster for them.

Just sounds like one of the many 3rd party application issues that seem to be accompanying Vista at this stage.
