| 549653 | 2007-05-14 03:21:00 | I see we can now have custom avatars but I am having trouble resizing mine. I have an avatar on another website and the size there is fine, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get it small enough to use here! It was only a 28.4KB file anyway, but despite changing the resolution and size, I can't seem to get it any smaller. It's so small I can barely see it myself, but the size is still showing as 24.1KB. Any ideas? I have the original digital photo (355KB) so can play around with that too, but I can't seem to find any information on here about how to make it less than 12KB. |

| 549655 | 2007-05-14 03:43:00 | I use Photoshop CS2 and was just saving it as a JPEG image. That worked fine for the other site but not here, hence the query. I tried posting the URL of the other site's avatar too, but it said it was too large. | Beemer (6956) | ||
| 549656 | 2007-05-14 03:47:00 | Hi Beemer, My avatar is 121x160 kb which is way above yours, I merely followed the process and Xp, F1, or whatever, sized it to fit I only learned how to install it thanks to Smithie 38 when he poked fun at me for my lack of knowledge, and any sizing was done as I proceeded- I sure as anything was unable to do it with his help-- but then I am OLD ;) :groan: effie c |
