550428 2007-05-16 21:50:00 My heatsink/processor fan crapped out & I replaced it. Now when I boot,
the PC goes through the POST & then stops at a screen that shows the
BIOS type system configurations

CPU ID/ucode ID : 0FC03A Base Memory : 640K
CPU Clock : 2000 MHz Extended Memory :
1046528K

L1 Cache : 128K

L2 Cache : 512K


Diskette Drive A:
Diskette Drive B:
Primary Master Disk : LBA, ATA


any ideas???

Yeah, removed the heatsink too.

The mobo is a Chaintech VNF3-250, socket 754, Athlon 64 proc

Possible damage to proc?

Yeah I did that prior to posting on the site. I just ordered a new mobo/cpu. Thanks for the help...
