| 550078 | 2007-05-15 23:02:00 | Hi all, I have a hard copy of a document that I want to turn into a word (preferably) or PDF template so that I don't have to fill it in manually and hand-deliver within the company (several times a day). There is only one graphic, a little logo that I can download and insert manually if I need to. I am investigating OCR software (quite expensive for a one off job), scanners that will do the same task, even an online service that will charge me a one off fee. Does anyone have any suggestions for the easiest and cheapest way to do this, before I go and reinvent the wheel? Cheers, Brendan |

You can add the finishing touches (insertion of logo etc) yourself when all the donkey work has been done OCR scanning will work, but you will still have to adjust the formatting afterwards. |

Go to a photocopier and produce as many copies as you will need for a reasonable time . Get a pen and fill in the blank spaces as needed whenever a new document is needed . If more than one copy is needed, go back to the photocopier . It will be a lot more efficient than any "computer" method . :badpc: In the spare time created, plot to take your boss's job . |
