| 550202 | 2007-05-17 21:52:00 | I use both like linw. I backup important files and any password files to a hidden encrypted drive that can be unplugged and also used/restored on my other computers if all turns to custard. I only put the OS and programs on C drive anything else goes on other drives so only thing on C I have to backup is my outlook.pst. I have a batch file to do that by clicking on an icon it copies that to another drive. Any problems with C it is not a major to restore. Any problems with my other drives with my work on could be a major but regular backups and some mirroring helps overcome that worry also. I don't partition anymore as if a hard drive fails both partitions are normally lost anyway. Hard Drives are cheap and simple to install and it is unlikely that two will fail at once. More chance of winning lotto probably. |

I think grub is there too..but Windows won't tell me. That makes it easy to burn it down when it gets top heavy with garbage, and then I just burn it (the rootdrive) down and reload XP and SP-2... (I KNOW...A SLIPSTREAMED DISC WOULD BE EASIER). |
