550040 2007-05-15 13:41:00 Just came across a BIG resource of viruses, worms and trojans while checking out this (www.virus.gr). The site is called VX Heavens (vx.netlux.org/) which has a big library of the aforementioned as well as engines, constructors and simulators. You can even get the entire collection (1GB+) via torrent (http:). You should read the FAQ page there (vx.netlux.org) beforehand though. sal (67)
550041 2007-05-15 16:17:00 thanks folks.......the one I used to have was the source code for the 'i love you' virus i used to use it to show folks how their new a/v prog reacted to a found 'virus' it worked well and as it was just the source code it was very safe I just wanted a similar thing for testing purposes .......again thanks drcspy (146)
550042 2007-05-15 17:28:00 in the end I just ran a google for 'virus source code' which brought up some suitable sites....dunno why it didn't occur to me before drcspy (146)
550043 2007-05-15 17:29:00 Here's something scary too: (from: blogs.zdnet.com)

For a basic idea of the kinds of information your browser is willingly coughing up, click on this link (ha.ckers.org) and you'll see a snapshot of your machine, including the browser version, the add-ons installed and enabled, your ISP hostname, a list of previously visited Web sites and, in some instances, your Gmail address.

Information seeping out of your Web browser could provide a gold mine for hackers doing reconnaissance for targeted attacks. This is the worst kinda exploit as I see it.

At the ToorCon Seattle (beta) conference, Web application security specialist Robert Hansen (RSnake) demoed Mr-T (Master Recon-Tool), a new utility that combines information disclosure flaws in Internet Explorer and Firefox to collect information on a target's computer system.

Let's see if your anti-stuff throw a fit about this or just rolls over and lets it happen. What's even more scary is there's very little you can do about it.

Wow. Interesting read out about my machine from the link. Well the browser related stuff at least. At least it is tricky to hack.
