1415090 2016-01-26 20:25:00 A friend's HP Pavilion p6343ch desktop computer stopped running RST after upgrading to Win10. I suggested the install the RST driver again. But for some reason we are unable to find the appropriate download page. Any suggestions to solve the problem or where the driver can be donwloaded?
Many thanks for your help.

1415091 2016-01-26 20:44:00 If you are referring to Intel rapid storage technology
there are instructions for installation using compatibility mode
on this link, second post.

Good luck.

1415092 2016-01-27 22:51:00 Thanks KarameaDave. But what I don't understand is the first sentence of the link: "Download the latest Windows 8.1 Compatible Intel RST Driver From Here." Why Win 8.1, why not Win10 which is installed an computer. There is no link for Win10. Thanks again. Cyberhuskey (13067)
1415093 2016-01-27 23:23:00 Because there is no WIN10 driver yet. KarameaDave (15222)
1415094 2016-01-28 02:30:00 Because there is no WIN10 driver yet.

And the Win 8.1 one will most likely work.

1415095 2016-01-28 02:37:00 And the Win 8.1 one will most likely work.

It will work if installed in compatibility mode, according to the link posted, as stated in my first post.

1415096 2016-02-15 07:57:00 Just one more question. What does

F6 and RAID BIOS configurations need to be performed prior to installation of this driver for proper operation.

mean and how do I achieve this on the computer. A step-by-step guide would really be appreciated.

Again, many thanks.

1415097 2016-02-15 21:34:00 The 8.1 files work fine here. No need to select compat mode, there isnt one. You add the inf file thru device manager

If you had XP you could press F6 (during the install of XP), if you had drivers like SATA / RAID drivers. If you enabled AHCI. Since XP doesn't have them on the XP CD.

Or unless you slipstreamed them with Nlite. Otherwise it'll crash

"You add the inf file thru device manager "

The more questions I ask, the more questions I have. Speedy Gonzales, sorry I'm lost, can you please guide me through the process. First I head to downloadcenter.intel.com and then? The original upgrade was from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Many thanks for your help.

1415099 2016-02-16 20:30:00 If its an inf file you can update them thru the drivers tab under the device's properties. Browse for the file poiint it to the inf file Speedy Gonzales (78)
