1414494 2016-01-14 20:06:00 I use slignshot as my ISP

They charge me for my two domain names

One i have had for 10 years and use google apps as a mail server and works fine

the other is new - I am trying to get slingshot to tell em how i access my domains so i can update DNS records etc to add the new domain to my mail server.

They don't seem to know what i am talking about.

I also email to domainagents.co.nz as the reseller to see if they can point me in the right direction.

Any suggestions please?

1414495 2016-01-15 00:49:00 I have a domain, use it for my email.

I do the email through Gmail...with my domain name. Far better than using some ISPs service.

1414496 2016-01-15 04:40:00 How does slingshot charge you for your domains?

As far as I know, Slingshot/Callplus are not registrars and I can not recall them ever offering these services but at one time, they may have offered to have .nz domains transferred to them.

You are better off performing a whois query on your domain name dnc.org.nz , which hopefully isnt privacy protected, this will reveal your registrar and you get in contact with them to understand how you can manage your domain names.

If you still have problems, PM your domain names to me and I can try and find out who the registrar is.

If you don't have a .nz domain, you may need to search for alternative whois sites to check your domain as this one is specifically used for .nz domains.

Cheers,

KK

Hi there - i did a whois and Slingshot use Domain company in auckland as a whole saler.

The problem is Slingshot don't allow users access to their own domains and everything has to be done (as i have just found out) through the helpdesk's technical team.

I have to explain to a different help person each time and they pass it to technical team and back and forth.

The technical team don't talk to the public and the helpdesk teams are really about modems and billing queries...
