| 1408262 | 2015-09-16 01:34:00 | We don't have access to the database. I did via SSH access, but that was a few years ago before the Australian buyout. Servers changed and access disappeared at the same time. Not even the other forum admins have access to it, only some other server-admins do. Kodi (Ex-XBMC) is fine by forum rules. Some of it's "enhanced functionality" is not. Just for the record as well, Netflix NZ / Australia has roughly 1/8th the content that Netflix USA does. The regions all vary, NZ vs Canada vs US, depending on the licensing agreements. Unfortunately in NZ a bunch of exclusive licensing deals have been already been signed with others like Neon / Quickflix / Lightbox so the Netflix selection is slim. |

| 1408263 | 2015-09-27 13:30:00 | you all might think the current offerings are worthy of consideration. i do not. i scoff at the idea of needing to sign up for multiple services to watch just a few shows and still not have the content i want. i cannot pay for some of the content i want. what is on offer is over priced for what i want. this is not a people problem, this is still a problem of big media not getting content distribution modernized enough. netflix was cool when it was dvds and only available in murka. online streaming was cool in 2006. i want to pay at the torrent whatever amount i want , be it $0.01, $0, $1, $10, $1000, etc. i want to get the content however i want and i want a link to HOW TO PAY NOW. think of it like tips or some jazz at a jazz gig or something. dolly breast reduction donations at the strip joint or something. pretty much distribution costs are $0, optional payments are $<1 and everyone is happy. copyright is a monopoly on culture at it is our duty as citizens of the human race to disobey unjust laws. |

You are saying you want to access their work & you want to decide if you should pay them or not. Its just like me saying, you drive up to my house: mow my lawns, paint my roof, make my dinner for a week, & I'll decide if I want to pay you $0, $1 or $1000. |

| 1408265 | 2015-09-27 21:48:00 | Yeah disagreeing with the stupidity of content distribution laws doesn't justify stealing. Our small market and remote location make a lot of things harder to get and more expensive, doesn't mean you should just steal everything you want to. For those of us (and yes that's an admission) who download TV shows etc, the arguments about why people do it are all BS attempts to justify something we all know we can't justify. The only (slight) defense I personally can offer is I generally do it for convenience or out of impatience and do pay for Lightbox & Netflix and buy a lot of movies on Blu-ray. I spend all I'm going to already. I did grab a 1 year Unotelly subscription and start using the US Netflix category recently, still slightly dodgy but a step up from torrents I'm thinking. It doesn't seem like 8 times the content as Chill mentioned though, more like 2-3 times . Maybe that's just for the type of content I like though. One problem with transitioning from dodgy torrents to legit streaming services - you tend to be months ahead and it leaves you nothing to watch for quite a while. I even still download shows that are on free to air TV and watch them a few hours sooner without adds just because it's easy and broadcast TV seems horrible by comparison. |

Works a charm, just fire it up - select the country you wish to browse from, and you get access to all that content. Netflix Aus was **** and not worth it, but now that I use Hola... wow! so much more content :) |

Its that simple. So, based on the above, you are willing to work for free, or at way below min wage. When you sell your car, PC, house, you are willing to accept $1 for it. Or have someone simply come & take it . |
