I am waiting for mine to happen as well. Incidentally I knew it was fibre as I recognised the parts in the photo, we have samples of them in my office and a bag full of the red plastic thingies sitting on someones desk. In this region it's not chorus who have the UFB contract, it may or may not be in your region. Round here it's WEL and some other companies and the vans have red UFF signage on them. |

| 1415271 | 2016-02-01 14:06:00 | Oh yes a guy came from Chorus a week ago and we discussed what would happen, he ran a snake down the ducting underground to check there were no snags. There was a small problem where there was a connecting duct that fed my neighbours place, but he said the installer would be made aware of it, and if necessary do a bit of digging on the verge. He even took photos of the house and where the cable would be installed. I have now been in touch with the landlord of the property next to mine, and he said no he did not request the fibre connection! So Chorus have stuffed up, lol. I'll ring my ISP and they can sort it. Not sure which Co is doing the installs in my area, I've actually seen a couple of different ones on my street. Watch this space! LL |
