Er...may I remind you of the fairly recent wire penis in New Lynn that cost heaps? And a temporary curtain in one of the libraries. And here out West we still don't have rubbish bins, still having to buy the annoying plastic bags. We still can't buy alcohol anywhere except at the booze shop. Still backward and they are still wasting money. Then there was Mr Browns "special" room he has had built. |

Both towns are nice but both have low socio economic areas. More so in Hastings though. I do most of my school van run in these areas in Hastings but bring them back to Napier. Hastings probably has older houses as Napier has grown more over the years I think. Ken |

Sister-in-law lived on the hill, she was not upper class tho. There used to be a lot of Head Offices in Napier, but no doubt they have all gone above the Bombay Hills by now, lol. Hastings does have some lovely parks. lurking. |
