1408363 2015-09-15 00:58:00 I was using hangouts, until I couldn't figure out how to send a txt to a one of number and removed it. Probably easy but If I have to research how to send a txt to a number once then it's not suitable.

Anyway under settings, general, default applications, messages, does it have the option to use messages or is hangouts the only option? Both are google apps so you may not have to use hangouts if the standard messages app is also still there.

That's Cicero's problem; on later versions of Android (Lollipop), Hangouts is the default (and only) SMS app, unless you install a third-party one.
