1408041 2015-09-08 21:59:00 You dont have a drivers licence ? :)

I have ongoing issues with posties & parcels. But, that shouldnt be their job , you cant fit parcels onto the bike so its a stupid idea to
have them deliver them (they have to use their own car to deliver the parcels)

Couriers are human, they make mistakes. And they work 12+ hour days + saturday , getting bugger all for each package they deliver.

Nope never had a licence. Or a car. Always used public transport. Or walked.

Where I lived in Auckland and Sth Auckland, the bus stops were outside the front door. And across the road. I'm within walking distance here in Taupo to shops and town

I've got a passport but thats 30 yrs old. And, I'm not planning on getting another one for $150-$180

Well true humans do make mistakes, but 3-4 times with the same courier?

1408042 2015-09-08 22:02:00 Just had a delivery from PostHaste. Checked the delivery status online about 5mins before so I knew it was in the area. Just checked the updated status and apparently I signed for it, and there's a scan of a signature that isn't mine! Renegade (16270)

That's happened to me before too. They like signing on your behalf !

Does it look suspiciously like the initials "L.B."?
That's what Fastway have done often for me. Stick it in the Letter Box and sign for it themselves with "L.B."

The CourierPost guy asked if it was ok for him to sign so I said that was ok as there's pretty much always someone home.

Good articles. Read them...

My step father couriers for Fastway for expanding large industrial area. He too got caught up in not allocating for GST. I service his van and truck - with help of a 40 year vet diesel mechanic mate sometimes.

But he panicked when he put his back out. Never mind his back, he was more worried about servicing his run. Had to help there too - not me specifically - but got my brother in law's mate to run it for 2 months, who was a former courier driver. But long and semi-laborious hours for > 64 year old, 5.30 am to get to depot. Since some major business clients are 24/7. Home 6.30 pm. He could scale down though. Or sell. Stubborn.

You have to be carefull with sign on behalf/sig authority.
At work Ive had couriers sign then take their damn time in delivering it : ie a day after they signed
No reason to give sig authority if there allways someone there.

Im never home during the day so I give those couriers sig authority, so for home deliveries I dont have to drive out to the depot to pickup after work

Are franchises a bit of a scam, even the ones that 'guarantee' certain income levels.
The 2 people I know who bought franchises found actual income was no where near the claims . And the income 'guarentee" was full of loopholes ,so pretty much worthless .
