As it can cause corrupted files / downloads, and its nothing but trouble. Overclocking (en.wikipedia.org) But I wouldnt do it, if you dont know what it is, or what it does. So what exactly do u want to update?? The whole thing? |

Making the CPU and/or GPU run at a faster speed than it was designed to, usually because they couldn't afford to buy a faster one in the first place or just for the show-off value. It can make your system unstable, shorten its lifespan and so on, if you aren't careful. You could just put a new graphics card in it, one of the 8800 series cards. That would be the cheap upgrade. Or you would need to replace motherboard, CPU, RAM and graphics card to go to the next generation of hardware. |

Yours faithfully, Alen :badpc: You didn't mention the speed and model of your Cpu or the amount of ram. A new graphics card and a bit more memory might be all you need. Please supply more details CPU RAM HD? as for overclocking the Asus boards have a built in overclock in the bios menu of %1-%10. Or you can download ntune from nvidias website and run the wizzard which will workout its own "safe" overclock settings. Any overclock will depend on your cooling and CPU model. But Ive had a 2.2GHZ 4200 x2 at 2.9ghz on mine. |
