Hi I have a Seagate FreeAgent external hard drive and was saving some photos to it today. An error message came up saying the data was unable to be saves from the F:\$Mft . I idsconnected the drive and connected it to my laptop and all data was gone. it showed there was 13GB on there but all the folders were empty. I found some advice on another forum and used that and was able to access some written files but can get to any of my digital stuff and most of my other files. Help as I have a major project due soon and all the info is on this drive:help: :help: |

You should 1st go to the manufacturers web site to see if this is a known issue and if there is a fix. |

Thanks for that and Ill go to the manufacturers site. I went earlier and there was nothing that I could see. I am more concerned at the information I have lost at the moment |
