| 551799 | 2007-05-21 13:51:00 | I am receiving a message- you are running out of space on PRESARIO_RE (E:), I do not have any thing in my recycle bin, on trying to free up more space I amnaged to delete all my Microsoft games which I have restored, I have also managed to wipe out all my restore points and have lost the volume icon on the start up menu - any ideas on how to free up the space on drive e ( most seems to be to do with MSN) and how to restore the volume control icon. | jonpol (12304) | ||

Judging by the volume label, I'd say you have the factory install of Windows on a Compaq Presario - and that was always installed to C. Do you have programs installed to E? SurferJoe's suggestion about removing the uninstalls will certainly free up space, but it will free space on the C partition - which is not where you are having space issues. I agree with him about system restore, provided you know enough not to need it if you run into trouble. |
