551762 2007-05-21 10:33:00 And what kind of files are on it?

If u use XP go to my computer / tools / folder options / view / show hidden folders. And/or hide protected OS files.

do this
start task manager
application tab

do you have an application running called "Kill" that looks like an excel spreadsheet

If you do post back its easy to get rid of ill give you the instructions
youll need to download hijackthis as part of the process, speedy has the link on his signature

Well there are so many different files inside the pen . (All my lecture notes) . I also did what you say . but it won't work .

Even I can copy whole content by right click on drive . Even if I paste it onto the desktop . Coping will be progressed . But content will not be able to see . Any way those files are not hidden files .

551765 2007-05-21 11:17:00 Do what Beama said, get hijackthis in my sig below and put it in its own folder, run it click on scan and save a log .

Copy and paste the log here .

551767 2007-05-21 19:37:00 do you have that kill app running in applications tab of task manager beama (111)
551768 2007-05-22 04:16:00 If these are your lecture notes and are the only copy ... be very careful. If it won't work on your computer, stop trying on that machine inn case there is a nasty item on that which could do more damage. ;)

Look at your USB disk for a "write protect switch". If it has such a switch make sure it is in the "protect" position. The files are almost certainly still there, it's just a directory problem. Only after the files are safely on another medium (CD, DVD, etc) should you try to "fix" the directories.

There will be a computing help desk at your university. Ask them for local advice.
