552649 2007-05-24 08:12:00 Hi all,

I have searched the web and haven't been able to find any PCI ADSL2+ compliant cards. Does anyone know of one?

Cheers.

552652 2007-05-29 05:45:00 Hi guys, thanks for your thoughts. I just wanted to turn my old PC into a server (load linux onto it) and the fewer cables etc floating around the better. Then I can justify to myself that I can buy a nice new laptop ;)

So are there really no PCI ADSL2+ modems out there?...

552653 2007-05-29 05:53:00 Why bother with ADSL 2 at this time anyway? it won't happen for years :yuck: look at the pitiful excuse of a thing they call ADSL now!! :groan: Worst comes to worst you just get another modem later, it is not like they are expensive :2cents: The_End_Of_Reality (334)
552654 2007-05-29 21:49:00 Yeah fair enough I might just do that. I have searched again and found a few other forums where people asked a similar question and no one supplied any products. Thanks guys. pico (4752)
552655 2007-05-29 22:09:00 ITEX, the company that actually manufactured a lot of the ADSL 1 PCI cards seen in NZ went broke and no one seems to have continued with internal cards. PaulD (232)

Heh, that is not surprising... IMO internal ADSL modems are no use... only one PC can be connected etc but then it is the same with a single port external ADSL modem...

All I know is the more ports I have the better
