| 552080 | 2007-05-22 11:33:00 | about 3 weeks the sound on my laptop doesn't seem to work properly and the build in microphone won't turn off, when i turn up the volume and knock on the mic it comes through the speakers, i have disabled all microphone devices on the sound settings and it didn't make any difference. i think this may also be linked to the speakers as when i turn the volume to max i can still barely hear any sound for movies or in skype, the mic can be heard easily though, is this a sound card problem and can it be easily fixed or do i need to take the laptop back to the shop for a replacement? another thing is that when the volume is up full, due to the mic stuck on the speakers are always hissing so why is it hissing so much? (what is causing the hissing?)
