Lets see if we can get non-totally-serious postings recognised as such. What is needed? An emoticon like this, perhaps? :

Having met Ed in the past I think I can fix the problem.

I do wonder when the last EULA was ever read.

We have PressF1 and Chat.

Beginning to wonder.

What say we have PressF1 with sub forums DOS, Linux, Win 3.11, Win 95/98/ME, XP, Vista, MAC, BEOS and etc.

We also have a chat as it is.

552384 2007-05-24 08:36:00 Hi all,

One way or another I am enjoyed the banter :)

I have followed somebody's advice and sent a query to Microsoft-who I might add, asked for my e mail address, or I might never see their online answer-

ha ! the number of times I have sent a fault/complaint/whatever to them and NEVER got any ackowledgement :(

sweep has offered me a reply via e mail ( he knows me of old) :waughh:

re the original comment- occaisionally, while searching and trying for an answer, I get "this program has not been installed,do you want it?" -and it does, install, but from whence it gets that install info, I do not know- as I have removed the Office 2003 CD from the drive

I have tried the CD back in E drive,to do a "repair"- and that was a waste of time:badpc:

by inference if I get the requested install done to all of the contents in the program, would suggest that eventually I get success to my card problem,--but in particular the card one does not even give that option- it just says ,"cannot complete"

It is not that panicky problem but as usual I like everything on topline

"Keep them cards and letters a'coming, folks"

552385 2007-05-24 08:40:00 That might indicate that there are some horrible bits and pieces lurking in Microsoft's can of worms called the "Registry". There might be safe ways to remove such detritus ... there are programmes which are asserted to do that, like Registry Mechanic. Perhaps someone knows ... ;) Graham L (2)
552386 2007-05-24 08:55:00 I hope you get it sorted. Goodluck. If your ever stuck for decent Publishing alternatives with a lot less fuss involved you could always give InDesign a try (just don't look at the price:eek: ) It can be worth it in the long run. winmacguy (3367)

552388 2007-06-14 06:42:00 Bump

Whats with the "bump" ?

552389 2007-06-14 06:50:00 What's with the "What's with the bump"?

That bump brought up effie's original posting . . . I had found the previous one . and referred to it in a posting in effie's latest one . So Sweep has given us the whole context .

Correct as usual.

The bump was in an effort to help.
