552900 2007-05-26 02:04:00 Well I am not bagging onboard, but I had nothing but problems with THIS onboard.
Although looking at the other posts it does look like most of the issues have been fixed in the product.

552901 2007-05-26 02:36:00 AC97 isn't the model number of any Realtek chipset, AC97 is actually an audio codec standard developed by Intel ;)

Clinton it might be time to learn how to use Google ;) posting that sort of question here is just lazy not to mention inefficient. In the time it took you to write out the post you could have easily used Google.

And don't get me started on all those fools who continue to bag onboard audio, if they took the time to do some research they'd actually find modern onboard audio isn't all that bad especially the stuff that adheres to Intel High Def standard.

Your first paragraph is true.

Clinton has left the room like Elvis. Had you considered Clinton used Google to get to this forum in the first place? It was this persons' first post after all. This forum is PressF1 and a help forum I think. Until some person added ChatF1 then ImageF1 then other F1s.

On board audio is not bad and the AC97 codec works. Had you thought about I/O?
