553339 2007-05-26 09:59:00 Hi
Does anyone know (guess) when google earth will update its images of NZ. I notice it is at least 18months old.

553340 2007-05-26 10:02:00 We are probably too small to be of concern to Google... winmacguy (3367)

553343 2007-05-26 10:18:00 I remember seeing a statement somewhere that they update at least every 2 years.

And it is not only in NZ - my brother-in-law's back garden in southern England looks like it did several years ago, before he remodelled it.

553344 2007-05-26 13:28:00 i agree, seeing spaghetti junction half finished is a little bit odd, and last time they came over west auckland it was really early morning, so there is shadows cast all over everything motorbyclist (188)
553345 2007-05-26 13:32:00 then again, the rest of nz is gradually gettting higher res images, so maybe they simply want to get the whole country covered first motorbyclist (188)
553346 2007-05-26 21:29:00 Just as a matter of interest. Go and look at Napier then move south down the coast to the second river then move up the river till you get to a join in the image, interesting eh.

553348 2007-05-26 22:59:00 I don't think Google actually have anything to do with taking the photos anyway. If you have a look you will see that images for different places are credited to different sources. I thought it was just a matter of whether there were hi-res photos available for their use. Could be wrong, of course. Boothienz (12290)
