553218 2007-05-26 05:09:00 My Nero says it can make a dvd copy of all the . mov files I have saved by my Kodak camera . . . now that they are on my hdds . But it keeps on refusing to do it .

I wonder if the problem is the difference in . MOV to . mov?

All my files are like : Laguna Beach . MOV

Is the UPPER CASE the problem because Nero says I have unsupported file extensions and doesn't recognize them and cannot do what I request?

Is there a better free utility to convert . MOV to say, . avi or something that Nero or DVD Shrink can use for my personal vids?

553219 2007-05-26 05:36:00 Not too sure (well I cant see it) if Nero converts any format to another format.

I know Nerovision can convert MP4 and other video formats including Avi (I cant see Mov) to DVD format.

Thats if u select Make Movie, or Make DVD in Nerovision.

Altho I'm using Nero 7 not Nero 6.

Have you tried Google? I think you have to pay for most of the good movie codec converters. Apart from Handbrake.

Its great on the Mac and seems to do well for Windows too. I think it was orginally bought out for converting movies to run on the Video capable iPod for Mac - or that was the first I was aware of it. Ive used to to add a number of music videos to iTunes on my iMac.
