| 552911 | 2007-05-25 06:01:00 | Having failed to open three e-mails with attachments. A message comes up on the screen saying that I have to create an association in the folders option. I've tried typing in a few things, but have had no success. | Potto (2959) | ||

| 552913 | 2007-05-25 06:20:00 | I am guessing that you are trying to open some sort of file that does not already have an association... or in other words instructions on what program to use when opening the attachment. Assuming that you have Windows XP or similar, try saving the attachment/file to somewhere like the 'my documents' folder and look at the suffix or type of file it is. Go into 'control panel' and if using XP click 'change to catagory view' in left menu. Then click on the 'folder options' icon that will now be showing in the control panel window. This will open a smaller 'file options' window. Click on the 'file types' tab and you will see a list of different file types. Scroll down until you find the right suffix for the file that was in your e-mail ie .jpg or .doc etc. You will then be able to select what program is used to open that type of file. another option if you know what sort of file it is, like a .jpg that is an image file, you can open the image program and then open the file you saved in 'my documents' from the image program menu. |

| 552915 | 2007-05-26 05:34:00 | Hi Short Circuit, I've just gone back to my e-mails, and clicked on to save attachments which then went to My Documents. From there, I found each one, and then clicked on play, & Bingo, everything woked just fine. Such a simple thing, but (dumb me.) Thanks a lot for all your help. Potto |
